Profound AI Hackathon Application

Matthew Schapiro — Marketing Engineer

Marketing systems
at inhuman scale

Enterprise SEO/GEO is my foundation. Now I use agents, automation, and rapid prototyping to turn messy workflows into systems that ship.

Why I'm a Fit

A marketer with a builder's workflow.

I'm a technical marketer who has moved deeply into builder workflows, AI tools, and product prototyping. I understand both the marketing problem and the workflow needed to solve it - and I can build the solution myself.

How I Got Here

My path to marketing engineering

Before I was building AI agents and prototype workflows, I was building the foundation that makes marketing automation useful: search strategy, analytics, content systems, web infrastructure, and cross-functional digital operations.

I started as a hands-on digital builder - creating websites, shaping messaging, setting up analytics, working across SEO, paid media, conversion tracking, and practical marketing execution. Way before today's AI tools, I was operating like a one-person agency: strategy, copy, web, tracking, optimization, and iteration.

College dropout, full send - build the site, shape the message, track the work, and learn in public.

The Command Center

My AI Operating Model

I don't think about agents as one-off chatbots. I think about them as an operating system.

Hackathon Concept

Spreadsheet Killer

Spreadsheets were never meant to be business operating systems. But that's what they've become: requests, expenses, status trackers, content calendars, lead lists, approvals, and reporting systems all duct-taped together in rows and columns.

The problem is not that spreadsheets are bad. The problem is that teams are using them as invisible software - without the UX, automation, permissions, workflows, or intelligence that real software should have.

The Prompt: “If you could take a marketing process that is inhuman in scope or scale and build a solution for it, what would you build?”

The Solution

01

Upload

Drop in the spreadsheet

02

Analyze

AI reads columns, patterns, and implied workflow

03

Clarify

Smart follow-up questions about intent and ownership

04

Generate

Intake form, structured database, status tracker, workflow steps

05

Operationalize

A lightweight internal tool - not a spreadsheet

The output is not another spreadsheet. It's a lightweight internal operating system for that specific process - with structured data, clear ownership, and no manual glue holding it together.

YOUR MOVE

This is how I think.
This is how I build.

This site is proof-of-work: a custom artifact showing how I approach marketing engineering, what kind of system I would build at the hackathon, and how I already work this way.
